Our Story
Baked in Baltimore is Baltimore’s newest retail/manufacturing bakery and is the sister company of the infamous DC Sweet Potato Cake. We are an official distributor of the DC Sweet Potato Cake. We are a company that believes in amazing desserts and amazing community outreach. We want Baltimore City to be proud that Baked In Baltimore is a minority and a woman-owned company that consciously chose Baltimore because of the love and support that the people offer. Not to mention that the majority of our team lives or is from Baltimore!

Our sister company, DC Sweet Potato Cake, has been operating in the Washington DC region for over 20 years and customers have been driving from Baltimore to purchase from DC Sweet Potato Cake often sitting in traffic for hours just to get one of our delectable cakes. When we saw how many of our customers were driving to DC from Baltimore,
we considered opening a store in Baltimore.
In our opinion, Baltimore has some of the most amazing and long-standing bakeries in the nation and we simply wanted to be part of Baltimore’s “sweet” legacy. Our goal is to be one of Maryland’s newest and successful manufacturers of baked goods so that we may continue to create jobs, bring joy, serve our community and demonstrate how to build generational wealth. Keep in mind, that we are as strong as our last sale, thus your dollars spent at our company keeps our doors open.
